Fundamental to what we wish to accomplish is the ability to go into a community, supply cash under the circumstances we deem most efficient and train people how to make best use of our knowledge, expertise, labour and resources.

Our current project outlines the general idea.

Stage One

We are currently involved with a village in Fiji called Naboutini. Each year they celebrate their village by raising money on Naboutini Day and all funds are put towards projects that will benefit the whole community. This year, the money raised was going to be used to build a school. We have donated more than enough money to build the school, based on the agreement that the money raised on Naboutini Day will be used to microfinance new small businesses. The Better Life Foundation has organised for most of the adults in the village to go to business school. Once they graduate, they will be able to submit business plans to be approved for small start up loans.

Stage Two

We also supply volunteers who spend time in the community teaching the villagers how to handle the extra income, run the business, upgrade education, and deal with substance abuse. In other words, we do everything the community needs to elevate its position and maintain it in the long term.

We have 'open books' to achieve complete transparency.

The Better Life Foundation seeks no assistance from governments and pays all taxes due in countries in which it operates including Australia.

Any profits it generates are either donated to worthy causes or reinvested in foundation projects.
