The Better Life Foundation's "Drive For A Better Life" for Naboutini, Fiji.
Thank you for taking time to visit our website. Drive For A Better Life is starting soon, so register your interest now!!
Drive For A Better Life is an initiative of The Better Life Foundation in an effort to help the wonderful people of Naboutini, Fiji. (see photos page). We will be driving a truck from Brisbane to Melbourne, stopping along the way to collect donations for the people of Naboutini.
We have recently finished building a school in Naboutini, and have had an amazing number of generous people ask us how they can help the locals. This is your opportunity to do just that.
Our trip starts in Brisbane, QLD on Thursday 11th March at 4pm. We will be operating a truck towing a 40’ container from Brisbane to Melbourne via the Pacific Hwy to Sydney, through Canberra, Albury and then into Melbourne for a final BBQ on Sunday 14th March.
If you would like to get involved in Drive For A Better Life, have a look at the information listed here and register your interest. We would like to thank you in advance for helping us make this venture wildly successful.

DONATIONS FOR THE TRUCK TRIP
Naboutini, Fiji is a small village full of vibrant, smiling people. Though they have little, they share it anyway. Their spirit is inspirational.
Below we have included some ideas of things you can donate, and a few to avoid.
To donate:
- Clothing (adults and kids)
- School supplies
- Books
- Games
- Fabric (the women in the village sew)
- Sports equipment (obviously, skis would be useless, but the villagers love football – particularly rugby – so balls, basketball hoops, cricket kits etc would all be treasured)
- Lollies – sealed packets only as open ones will not make it through customs. This is a real treat as lollies are a luxury item for the people of Naboutini.
- Other household items – someone has donated an industrial sewing machine while another person donated a kitchen in perfect working order because they installed a new one. Get creative – BBQs, outdoor dining settings, couches, televisions, DVD players (with DVDs!). If you aren’t sure if Naboutini would use something you have to donate, please feel free to phone our office and ask some questions.
Please avoid:
- Food – this is simply a customs issue
- Cash – if you want to donate money to Naboutini, we would greatly appreciate it, but please contact the office on 02 6247 8336 rather than bringing cash to the collection points
- Broken goods – please no crashed computers or other broken electronics, clothes full of holes or other non-functioning items.
